Comparing Plan Types

CatalogIt offers tiered subscription plans designed to fit a range of users—from individual collectors to large institutions. Each plan type varies by number of entries, users included, storage, and monthly/annual cost. Web publishing, via the CatalogIt HUB, is included with a subscription for any plan.

Plan Categories

CatalogIt groups plans into four main categories:

1. Personal

Best for private collectors, family histories, artists, or other individual use.

Who it’s for:

  • Individuals or hobby collectors
  • Small personal archives or family collections

Plan Tiers & Key Differences

Tier Entries Storage Users Web Publishing Monthly Annual
Free 50 5 GB 1 No $0 $0
Small 2,500 50 GB 3 Yes $14.99 $149.99
Medium 5,000 75 GB 3 Yes $21.99 $219.99
Large 10,000 100 GB 3 Yes $29.99 $299.99

Notes:

  • Free starts with a limited entry count, one user, and no publishing.
  • Paid tiers improve entry limits, storage, and unlock CatalogIt HUB publishing.

2. Museum

Designed for museums, galleries, historical societies, and cultural institutions.

Who it’s for:

  • Museum and other institutional collections
  • Teams requiring collaborative workflows

Plan Tiers & Key Differences

Tier Entries Storage Users Web Publishing Monthly Annual
Free 50 5 GB 1 No $0 $0
Small 25,000 100 GB 10 Yes $54 $540
Medium 50,000 150 GB 10 Yes $72 $720
Large 100,000 200 GB 10 Yes $96 $960

Notes:

  • Substantial increases in entries and storage over Personal.
  • Supports more users and collaborative work.
  • Includes web publishing for sharing collections online.

3. Organization

Similar to Museum plans, often chosen by nonprofits, corporate archives, or larger private institutions.

Who it’s for:

  • Non-museum organizations with structured collections
  • Groups needing institutional access and workflow support

Plan Structure
Organization plans have the same tiers, user counts, storage, and pricing as Museum plans (Small, Medium, and Large). The Organization plan does not incorporate a variety of museum-specific tasks and fields, such as the accessioning and deaccessioning processes, which Organizations typically do not need.

4. Conservator

Geared toward professional conservators or conservation teams managing treatment histories and conditions.

Who it’s for:

  • Conservation studios
  • Professionals managing conservation workflows

Plan Structure
Conservator plans are structured with:

  • Lower entry limits than Museum or Organization plans
  • Higher storage allocations for detailed photographic and documentation needs
  • Multiple users for collaborative conservation work
  • Full access to condition, treatment, and reporting tools
