The option to publish to the HUB is included with all subscribed CatalogIt accounts, but needs to be enabled on the back-end before you can utilize it. To begin publishing to the HUB, please reach out to us at support@catalogit.app and we'll be happy to enable that for you!
Account Profile
Once we've enabled the HUB for your account, it's time to set up your Account Profile. Account owners and account admins have access to complete the Account Profile. You can find the Account Profile by clicking on your Main Menu > Settings > Account Profile. The Account Profile includes the following sections:
- Account Name — The name that identifies your account and appears on your HUB page. This is the only required field for your Account Profile.
- Description — Give yourself a nice bio! Share who you are and what you do.
- Location — Where are you located?
- URL Slug — The customizable section of your HUB link. The URL Slug defaults to your account name. For example, the account named Anytown Museum has a default HUB link of: https://hub.catalogit.app/anytown-museum. The customizable slug section is: /anytown-museum.
- Website URL — Include a link to your website or social media.
- Logo or Image — Upload your official logo or image. The optimal logo/image is 200px, square. The logo/image will display as a circle; use CatalogIt's photo-editing feature to crop and center your image, ensuring nothing is left out!
- Background/Banner Image — This image will appear at the top of your HUB page, and is where you'll see your account name, logo, location, and website. The ideal image is landscape, or rectangular, that is at least 1000px wide. Use CatalogIt's photo-editing feature to crop and center your image.
Web Publishing
After you have completed your Account Profile, click on your Main Menu > Web Publishing to toggle on Web Publishing and select your publishing preferences. Account owners and account admins have access to Web Publishing.
At the top of the Web Publishing section is the toggle to turn web publishing on or off. Now that your account is enabled for publishing, you can toggle it on and off whenever you'd like. For your first time publishing, make sure it is toggled on to see your page!
There are three tabs in this section: Account, Entry, and Media.
Account
Select the information that you would like to have visible from your Account Profile. Show or hide your Account Name, Description, Location, Website URL, Logo, or Background/Banner. Hiding your Account Name will display “Anonymous”.
Choose the background color of your HUB page from the following options:
- Auto — CatalogIt will analyze the dominant color of your Entry images and set a complementary background color.
- White — Sometimes a simple white background really does the trick!
- Custom — Choose a custom color by inputting the RGB or Hex value of that color. For instance, for a black background, the RGB input would be: (0, 0, 0). The Hex value would be: #000000.
Entry
Select the Entry information you would like to include or exclude.
Choose your information from all available fields of information. You can easily include “All” fields by checking the “All” box.
If your ratio of fields to publish is greater than your ratio of fields to exclude, you can select “Exclude” from the drop-down box. Then, check the boxes of the fields you would like to exclude from being published.

Media
Protecting Your Media on the HUB
CatalogIt safeguards your images on the HUB by utilizing “Web Quality” images, meaning they have a lower resolution than the original files uploaded to CatalogIt. This prevents visitors to your HUB from obtaining a copy of your media at original quality.
You can choose the images you would like to share and how they are displayed. Add an optional watermark to your images to help protect your media!
- Published Media — Select Primary Image Only to publish the main image of each Entry, or select All Top-Level Images to publish all of the images of each Entry.
- Image Sizes — Share images as their Natural Size, or opt for a consistent, uniform look with Square Size.
- Image Adornment — Present your images with Square Corners or with Rounded Corners.
-
Watermark —If you would like to add a text watermark to your images, enter your text within the text field, and select from the following options where it will be located:
- Top
- Middle
- Bottom
- Top-Left
- Top-Right
- Bottom-Left
- Bottom-Right

The set-up of your HUB page is now complete! Next, we'll publish a Folder to see your chosen Entries!
Publishing a Folder
Publishing Occurs at the Folder Level
Publishing at the Folder level enables you to selectively publish your Entries, while presenting your Entries however you would like to organize them. You cannot publish your main All Entries page, and you cannot publish a Folder Group.
If it's your first time creating a Folder and adding Entries to it, please feel free to check out the following articles:
